I end up with about 6.5 gallons of raw wort ready for cooking.

You could go direct into a large brew pot.  Since I have two brew pots, I collect all in one bucket so the wort is mixed and then transfer to the brew pots.

 

 

 

 

Ladle 3.25 gallons into first brew pot,

 

 

 

then the bucket is easy to handle and then pour into the remaining brew pot.

 

At this point, it's no different from extract brewing, except we have 6.5 gallons of wort to cook!

 

Note the thermometer.  I like to know when the brew is getting close to boiling so I can anticipate boil-overs...
